In high school I received amazing grades throughout all four years, but I question myself if I truly learned half the things that were taught to me. In college and the rest of my life I intend to be a deep learner. In high school it was just memorization and the teachers cared more about themselves than they did about any of their students. The only time they would seem to care is when they were being evaluated. So, in college I want things to be different. This is the time of my life to learn what I want to do with the rest of my life, to discover new places and people, and to never stop being curious of questioning things. I never want to go back to the learning I did before college because that was almost pointless, I intend to be a deep learner from this point in my life and forward. I plan on being a high school teacher, and instead of teaching the way almost all high school teachers did, I will try my hardest to teach my students to be deep learners. I will try teaching them that learning is fun and interesting, not boring like how most teachers teach. Saying all of this makes me excited for the years to come and I cannot wait to see where my deep learning takes me in the future.
